What's so good about our strawberries?
We grow strawberries with quality and flavour, sold fresh from the farm gate. We've been doing it for over 20 years now, and we know how to grow a mouthwatering strawberry.
The expertise to create a great strawberry begins months before they reach you. Soil preparation has to be just right, and we feed our plants natural fertilizer. Healthy happy plants grow yummy plump strawberries.
Years of experience, growing different varieties of strawberries helps us to provide consistent quality of flavour in our strawberries. Portland Strawberries are always farm fresh and the majority of our sales are from the farm gate.

How to get our Strawberries
Visit Our Farm
Come get fresh strawberries straight from the farm. During Daylight Savings Time we're open from 8am until 8pm, and in the quieter months 9am until 5:30pm. During the off season, hot house strawberries are available.
In addition to packs of fresh strawberries, we also give you the opportunity to pick your own strawberries from November to April.
Please be aware that adverse weather conditions may cause strawberry shortages at times.

Our strawberries can go over the South Australian Border as long as we have your details for a Department of Primary Industries Plant Declaration form which we will send with your order. We endeavour to keep our prices consistent throughout the year, although in the lead up to Christmas our prices rise slightly to cover additional staff required to meet the demand.
Finding and Storing Great Strawberries
The strawberries you want are full of colour, bold dry unblemished strawberries are the ones you want in your punnet. Put them in a cool part of your car for the drive home, either in a cooler bag, esky, or at the very least kept in the air-conditioned part of the car.
When you reach your destination put them straight into the refridgerator and don't wash them until just before serving them as this damages the berries causing them to deteriorate quicker. A gentle spray of cool water is best when washing them and to get the best flavour out of your strawberries bring them to room temperature just before serving.
Remember, less handling means less bruising and store them at less than 5 degrees celsius.
